A Day in the Life of Crema

In Honor of the Year of the Water Rabbit

What follows is a collaborative photo essay by the Jordan Poling family in an attempt to capture Crema, our conejo, in all his cunicular glory. For those of you unfamiliar with the term, cunicular ïs the rabbit equivalent of canine or bovine. Rabbits are known to be kind, extremely generous, and healing; Crema fits this bill perfectly. Technically he lives under a small wooden table in our living room, but in all honesty, he roams our house freely (except our bedrooms). He is potty-trained, surprisingly cuddly, and an entertaining little guy.

This Lunar Year, 2023, is predicted to be a year of hope. We hope you enjoy looking at these photos of Cremita as much as we enjoyed putting them together. We love our bunny!
Morning snuggles in Brynna's arms
Ahhhhhhh...

Crema's favorite home school subject: Escritura
What should I write...

If you live in Ecuador, you gotta play futból. It is a constitutional mandate.
Alert! UFO! Unidentified Floor Object! Must ignore!

Crema's favorite snack, hierbitas, a uniquely Ecuadorian mix of cilantro, parsley, and other greens.
Gimme! Gimme!

You have to love books to be part of this family. One of Crema's favorite graphic novels: Hilo.
Repeat business! Ha!

Crema with his BFF, Ted.
What is this thing‽ Its ears are too small for its body!

Crema's favorite stool (our compost bin) allows him better access to treats.
Food! Food! Hierbitas! Food!

There is no better place to let it all loose than Brynna's arms.
This picture makes me look fat! I'm not that fat!

Red fish, blue fish, brown bunny, white bunny
Don't interrupt me, I'm reading! Also, that's not what it says, but I wish it did! I would look great in a book!

Crema enjoying Paul's famous curry peanut pasta dish.
I don't need no fork!

An evening game of UNO Dare to round out a perfectly good day.
Darn, I can't put anything!
